The LSU Football program now uses the iPad as a recruiting tool.

The “Les Miles Method” application launched in the summer of 2011 and is the first app of its kind. It highlights all aspects of the LSU Football program, including Tiger Stadium, school traditions, academics and of course, Head Coach Les Miles.

“We wanted to take advantage of the new platform,” said LSU Football Director of Player Personnel Sherman Morris. “Those things that are attractive to prospects we wanted to try and do that.”

LSU partnered up with locally owned Overtime Software to develop the Miles Method app.

“This app was aimed straight at recruits,” said OT Software President Michael Thrower. “They talk about things like early playing time. They explain you can make it to the NFL being a LSU Tiger. And you’re going to be on TV being a LSU Tiger.”

OT Software is currently working on a “Paul Mainieri Method” application for the LSU Baseball team. The “Les Miles Method” app can be downloaded for free on iTunes for the iPad and iPhone.
