LSU Soccer has new home

8 09 2011

The new $2.3 million LSU Soccer Complex is near completion. The old complex was destroyed March 2009.

The new facility holds an additional 1,000 seats, making the official capacity 2,197.

Some of the new features include a permanent concession stand, new restroom facilities, an enclosed press box and a paved concourse behind the bleachers.

“In the past, we’ve had awesome environments for games,” said LSU Soccer Head Coach Brian Lee, “but not a real fan-friendly environment. Now when a fan comes to a game … the overall fan atmosphere is going to be top-notch.”

Admission is free for each home soccer match this fall. Visit LSUsports.net for more information.
